Chapter 7 Summary
Morelli follows Stephanie to her apartment. When her neighbor, Mickey, admires the monstrous Buick, Stephanie questions Morelli about the car's apparent appeal to men. He admits that the allure involves the car's size. During the conversation, they approach Stephanie's apartment, which makes her apprehensive. All appears in order, though, as they enter.
After calling Ghostbusters a sissy movie, Morelli divulges the depressing details of the bust. The meeting, he says, was set up by phone, and the van was stolen from the area, thus leaving no clues to follow. A connection between Kenny and the gun sale cannot be established. During the briefing, Stephanie puts out beer and popcorn. She implores Morelli for more cooperation, but remains doubtful that any will be forthcoming. She attempts to renege on the deal for popcorn and a movie. Morelli remains to watch Ghostbusters and Stephanie considers...
