Chapter 3 Summary

Once again, in the opening of Chapter 3, Stephanie reveals details of her past with Morelli. She reviews all aspects of work, from Kenny to Spiro, but decides to take a break. As she enters her apartment, she finds a threatening letter slipped under the door. It is, of course, unsigned.

Stephanie receives a call from Grandma Mazur to attend Moogey's viewing, which Stephanie agrees to attend. She also receives a call from Ranger, who has learned nothing about Kenny. She next calls Eddie Gazarra at the police station to beg for information about Morelli's current case. Eddie knows nothing, but promise to listen to the gossip mills. After she picks up Grandma, the two women argue about the necessity of a closed casket funeral for Moogey, who was last shot in the head.

Immediately upon seeing the closed casket, Grandma wants to open...
