Summary
In “Miami, Florida Part 4,” “Here Comes the Sun,” Natalie emerged from “the rooftop storage shed,” shocked “Reuben had stopped” (224). When a woman on “a third-floor balcony” saw Natalie, she urged her to take cover. The storm was not over. They were in the eye.
In “Round Two,” Natalie could see the eye ending, but raced towards the woman’s balcony with Churro.
In “No Time,” the woman did not think Natalie would make it before the storm returned. Natalie jumped on the roof of a train car.
In “Patience,” Natalie managed to reach the woman before Reuben returned. The woman introduced herself as Patience. Natalie told her “the short version of her story” (234). Patience insisted she was safe. After changing and settling in, Natalie fell asleep.
