Ellery
Ellery is a high school senior. She grew up in California with a troubled and chaotic mother with emotional problems and a drug addiction. She moved from town to town and never made any permanent friends. When she found out that her mother’s twin sister, Sarah, disappeared during her senior prom, Ellery became obsessed with tales of true crimes.
She collects true crime books and considers herself an expert on unsolved murder. And so, when she gets sent to live with her grandmother in Echo Ridge, the town where Sarah disappeared 20 years ago, and where a girl named Lacey was murdered just five years ago, Ellery finds herself right in the middle of her own true crime mystery set.
Ellery wants to be a lawyer when she grows up, but she does not let the fact that she is only in high school deter her from trying...
