Chapter 1: And Baby Makes Three – Russell Green is surprised when, a year into his marriage to Vivian, she announces she is pregnant. He worries financially because she will stay at home the first few years to raise the baby, but he looks forward to life as a family. The day of the big IT, October 16, 2009, Vivian awakens Russell to explain her contractions are five minutes apart, and it is time to go to the hospital. There, Vivian and Russell are delighted when their baby girl London comes into the world. Russell’s parents and Vivian’s parents come in to see London. Russell feels uneasy around Vivian’s parents because he believes they feel their daughter settled for him instead of marrying somebody better.
