Chapters 21-22 Summary

When Stephanie wakes, she talks to Julie and learns that Scrog's plan is to kill Ranger to more effectively take over his life. The next morning Scrog brings the girls some food he stole from a convenience store. Julie tells Stephanie that Scrog always steals their food and Scrog says it is because he has no money. Scrog tells Stephanie that he needs to score a large amount of money so they can go to California the fly to Australia to start a bail bonds business. Stephanie first suggests that they go to Mexico instead since Ranger's people and the FBI will be after them until Julie is found and then she suggests they go after Lonnie Johnson since his capture would mean at least five thousand dollars. Scrog agrees, but he makes Stephanie put back on her bounty hunter clothes...
