Chapter 10 Summary

The next morning Stephanie wakes with Ranger in her bed. Ranger claims the couch was too uncomfortable. Stephanie knows Ranger wants to be intimate with her, so she quickly gets out of bed, trying hard to be faithful to Morelli despite her own desires to be with Ranger. Before Stephanie can get dressed, she gets a call from Melvin telling her he is alone in the office and he has been overrun by applicants for the bounty hunter's job. Stephanie quickly dresses so she can go rescue him. When Stephanie gets there, she organizes the applicants and then begins to interview them. Just like the time before, however, all the applicants turn out to have mental health issues and are unsuitable for the job.

Connie, Stephanie, Lula, and Melvin decide to have Italian for lunch. Just after the food arrives, Joyce shows up...
