Chapters 8-9 Summary

Stephanie gets out of bed the next morning and finds Ranger in her apartment using her computer. Ranger wants to canvas a neighborhood and look for his impostor, so Stephanie quickly gets dressed. The neighborhood turns out to be a tough Jersey neighborhood where Ranger grew up. Ranger thinks his imposter may have spent time there trying to get information on him. However, when Stephanie talks to local business owners, they all believe the picture of the impostor she shows them is Ranger. Ranger decides they should go to Virginia since this is where the impostor married Carmen and where he had his bonds office. On the way, Stephanie gets a call from Morelli who quickly figures out Stephanie is with Ranger and warns her she is aiding a wanted felon.
