Chapters 6-7 Summary

Stephanie and Lula drop the skip off at jail and stop in the bonds office. Connie tells Stephanie that Melvin has worked out well as a file clerk. Stephanie then heads home, surprised when Carmen does not follow her. Stephanie met a bonds man in Virginia a while back and she decides to e-mail him to find out if he met Carmen's Ranger while he was working as a bonds man there. Later Stephanie meets Morelli at her parents' house for dinner and then talks him into going to a bar where Lula's band is to perform that night. The performance goes bad, however, when a fight breaks out in the audience. The next morning, Stephanie helps interview the next wave of applicants for the bounty hunter's position, but again the applicants all appear to have mental health issues. When the...
