Summary
Chapter 5 – Caitlin goes and gets on the subway toward Columbus Circle and believes she sees shadows along the walls. A large, drunk, black man attempts to harass her, but Caitlin gets on the subway just in time. At Columbus Circle, she feels extraordinary pain in her stomach and feels incredibly thirsty. With a bag of clothes in hand, she changes into nice attire, and meets up with Jonah. She throws her old clothes –and her old life – out. Jonah tells Caitlin that she looks beautiful, and it makes Caitlin’s heart race.
Chapter 6 – Caitlin keeps one of the ticket stubs to Carnegie Hall as a sentimental souvenir. Jonah says the tickets are a gift from his viola teacher, because the teacher couldn’t make the show. Sergei Rakov takes the stage. The piece that will be performed is Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, which...
