Summary

In “Chapter 25”, Whit took Iris to the site of one of his housing developments on a farm. Iris questioned him about why he was developing houses for people who already had homes and he told her it was because people wanted bigger ones. She asked him where the food that the farm had produced would come from and rather than get into food politics. He told her farming had become more efficient so less land was needed.
