Summary

The next chapter is titled “Wings.” They go to the ninth dimension, Matthew racing through the leaves without realizing things are about to change. June and Ziggy go into Majestica and lay on the blanket, sharing the pillow. The scene changes to a story beginning with “Once upon a time” (278) and relating the story of the old farmer and his wife who did their work on the farm to care for their family. June looks around the cellar and says she will miss this. Ziggy asks her not to say that. He says June has always lived here, even years ago when it was a farm, and even long before that. They change into dragons together and have to rush out of Majestica to keep from breaking through the roof. Ziggy is red and breathes fire. June is black and breathes...
