Summary

The next chapter is titled “Secrets.” June goes home, a couple of houses from Nana Jean's, after everyone else in the neighborhood has gone inside. She does her best to wipe herself clean before she enters the house, which is Number 28. Angela says June was late and says she was climbing trees. Angela says she climbed trees when she was a girl, and that she was not afraid then. June suggests Angela come outside but she dismisses the idea.
