Summary
Tristan dreams that he is in a dark hallway. It is the same hallway he was in before, only now with more victims chained against the walls. He notices the prisoners are Midfolk and Alkeans. He goes to a door. Inside is Uncle C., the haint. He says he is going to hunt down Tristan and all his friends. An invisible rope snakes around his arms and legs. He sees images of Eddie--memories. Now the memories are out of reach, gone, all except one--of the bus crash. And Eddie's hand, reaching out for help...Uncle C has stolen all the other memories from Tristan, leaving the most painful one behind (one in which he failed to be a hero).
