Eden Summary

Eden has been in Vegas three weeks. She stays in different places different nights, and her body is bruised and hurt. She meets Alex, who gives her fifty dollars to clean up, eat, and call home.

Eden then feels drawn into a Catholic church. It is Friday and there are no worshippers inside. She decides to pray. A priest sits down beside her and asks what she needs.

Eden Analysis

Eden flirts with the idea of becoming a prostitute to get back home, but then ultimately decides against it when she meets Alex, who tells her not to become a stripper. Eden's entry to church is in many ways a return to God - a banishment from the Garden and a return to God through Jesus. She wants to turn her life around.
