Chapters 62 through 78 Summary
The next chapters are in Part Four, entitled Sam's Roman Circus. The US President learns that the hostages have been released but that the Egyptian government seems on the verge of collapsing into Yazid's control. They agree to question the terrorists that were captured in Chile to prove a connection to Yazid. Predicting that his followers won't approve of his tactics, they believe he'll be "benched for the season." There continues to be concern over the possibility of a mass movement of people from Mexico under Topiltzin's control.
Findley and the others are transported to a hospital, and Dirk recovers on board the Lady Flamborough. Hala and Senator Pitt are among those who visit his bedside.
