Chapters 30 through 35 Summary

Topiltzin uses lights and special effects to hold the attention of his audience at the ancient Mayan city of Uxmal, located on the Yucatan peninsula. He touts better times and the will of the gods, then retires to his lavish quarters inside a semitrailer. He uses an extensive communications equipment cubicle and begins talking to another man who is not identified.
Hala is taken by helicopter from Colorado with government officials. She says that she's grateful to the men who gave their lives to protect her's and that she will make the announcement about the treasure even though it hasn't been located.
