Summary

In “Chapter 13”, Kai enters the trailer after Maggie tries to catch and hurt the Coyote after his taunting. Kai charms the Coyote and he tells Maggie and Kai the story of his presence in the modern world. He tells them he and those like him were able to enter the world after the Big Water, or the fifth flood. He tells them that before he was only able to live in dreams, songs and legends but that with the rise of Dinétah and the sixth world he and other Holy People could return, along with the monsters.
