Chapter 30 Summary
Wylie's last column is run on the front page of the Miami Sun. It apologizes for his actions the last several weeks, but also notes that his actions were with the best of intent; bringing the disappearance of nature from the Florida coast to the forefront of peoples' minds. He mentions that he is in a cheap hotel in Pout-au-Prince with four fake passports and four thousand U. S. dollars.
When Brian Keyes wakes in his office Jenna is there reading the newspaper. She finally admits that Wiley was supposed to meet her that morning but he never showed up. She makes some small advances on Keyes as she mourns the fact that Wiley may actually be dead, but this time Keyes does not melt and remains stoic to her.
