Chapter 11 Summary
Keyes wakes up deep in the Everglades in Wiley's camp. He is tied up and is introduced to Wiley's associates who happen to be Viceroy Wilson, Jesus Bernal, and a Seminole named Tommy Tigertail. Tigertail is introduced as the business manager of the Seminole's gambling operation, and worth over five million dollars.
Wiley tells Keyes that the group plans to return the whole of Miami back to the wildlife it was stolen from, and they plan to do it mostly with bad publicity. Keyes is to witness a murder and takes the information back to the newspaper office, making certain it is published so the police and press will begin taking the Nights of December seriously. With that, Wiley asks to have Mrs. Kimmelman brought to him.
