Chapter 7 Summary
Keyes and Garcia go to lunch, and Garcia tells Keyes that he thinks Ernesto Cabal is El Fuego, the person who wrote both the letters relating to the dead men. They decide that the person behind the letters and possibly the murders is Viceroy Wilson, and that he is Cabal's partner. As they discuss the letters further, they decide that the only thing the signature on the letter, "The Nights of December" relates to is the month Castro came into power. They realize that this is now almost the middle of December, and that maybe the group has something big planned.
At about the same time, Viceroy is driving a Cadillac belonging to a wealthy Seminole Indian. He is unhappy that the Indian doesn't appreciate it, but is somewhat superstitious about some of the customs of the Seminoles if you get on their...
