Chapter 4 Summary
Skip Wiley's managing editor, Cab Mulcahy, tells him that he has misrepresented the facts in the Sparky Harper murder case, and that there was no sexual torture and that other things in his story are untrue. He also says that his description of Ernesto Cabal and view that he is no doubt the killer are unethical at the very least. Wiley admits that, but says the story was done to represent the mayhem in the streets of Miami. Mulchay tells him he has read his columns for the last four months, and has given them to a psychiatrist to analyze, and when he talked to the psychiatrist again he was told that Keyes appears to have some sort of illness. Mulchay tells Keyes the only way he can keep his job is for him to see the psychiatrist, get an intern to help...
