Summary
In Chapter 6, Tess wakes up at four in the morning to go lobstering with Dad. She brings all her good luck charms with her, including two pennies from the year she was born, a teeny plastic lobster, a white quartz heart given to her as a gift by Amy for Christmas, the new shard of blue sea glass, and a small piece of pottery that washed up on the family’s beach. The pottery is white on one side, and features a blue drawing of a sloop at sea on the other side. Tess relies on all the luck she can in the hopes that Aaron will like lobstering.
