Chapters 57-59 Summary
Sidney realizes that the only method of communication with the men holding her father is through her home phone. She accesses her message machine and is given a phone number to call. Mustering all of her skills as a litigator, she insists they meet her on the main street of town and allow her father to enter a diner alone. She will then leave the disk on the sidewalk and drive away. They agree. Sidney arrives first and sets a trap, relieving the bad guys of their van and driving off with her father. She drops him off at a car rental agency, telling him that his mission is to protect his wife and grandchild.
