Chapters 47-51 Summary
This section begins with Sayer surmising that Steven Page was Arthur Lieberman's lover, had possibly contracted HIV from Lieberman and was probably blackmailing him. Perhaps Lieberman had him killed. Sawyer decides to visit Charles Tiedman who, fortunately, is in Washington for a meeting. Chapters 48-51 recount Sidney's activities and movements, as she attempts to survive and to protect her parents and daughter. She is now in survival mode, retrieving her passport from her office, attempting small disguises and packing Brohpy's pistol into her belt. She takes a cab to the train station, buying a ticket for New York and making a large cash withdrawal from the ATM there.
