Rebus wakes in his hotel room badly hung-over and bruised. Rebus struggles up and through breakfast before going to the office. Rebus is there only a few minutes when a frightened Lisa shows up. Lisa has received a letter from the Wolfman at her home address threatening to kill her if she does not retract the lies that have been told to the press about the Wolfman. Rebus immediately takes the letter to the lab and has it tested for fingerprints. Flight has a couple of cops come to take Lisa to a safe house. Before they leave, Cousins shows up and asks if he can get a ride to the Old Bailey where he is due to testify.
