Summary
In Chapter 9, Mary Anne Trump was viciously mugged in 1991. Mary visited every day, but Donald came only once and seemed irritated. He had begun worrying about his finances because his favorite casino in Atlantic City had gone bankrupt and his marriage had begun to struggle. Maryanne was glad when Donald left her room because he was always so surly with her. She tells Mary that she was relieved when he went to the military academy because he would never listen to her when he lived at home.
