Summary

In Chapter 13, Bug searches Uncle Roderick’s room, hoping to find some clues he might have left for her. She feels a breeze and sees the bedskirt swaying, a sign she needs to look under the bed. As she looks through boxes of jewelry and makeup, she has a memory of dressing up with her uncle once. She told him he looked beautiful and he responded that she looked handsome, a compliment that made her proud.

Among the boxes, Bug finds one full of information for transgender people. Bug knows that a transgender person is one who is born one gender, but does not feel that gender is right. So, he changes.
