Summary

In Chapter 5, Bug has trouble sleeping. She is troubled because she has never thought of herself as looking like a girl. She remembers how Uncle Roderick had understood that Bug always felt as if she was pretending when she was trying to look and act like a girl.

Bug hears Moira sit up in her sleeping bag and then start screaming. When Bug investigates, it appears that Moira has stepped on a bottle of nail polish and cut her foot.

After Moira calms down, she asks how that bottle of polish came to be where she could step on it when she had put all the cosmetics in a pile across the room. Bug suggests it had rolled across the room. She says the bottle probably broke when Moira stepped on it, but Moira claims the bottle was already broken. Bug believes it...
