Edward Sheffield is a writer and insurance salesman, is the author of Nocturnal Animals, and is the ex-husband of Susan. Edward has not achieved the commercial success he has hoped for with his writing, and he is fussy and particular. Now remarried to a woman named Stephanie, Edward sends his latest manuscript, Nocturnal Animals, to Susan to read.
