Summary

In Chapter 6, Mr. Fuchigami hands Izumi her itinerary for her stay. Izumi feels embarrassed of her inexperience with travelling and fashion. She is anxious to learn that surly Akio is to be her personal bodyguard.

Izumi is mesmerized throughout their drive. When they arrive at Togu Palace on the Akasaka Estate, Izumi cannot believe how beautiful it is. She meets her lady-in-waiting, Mariko, who gives her a makeover. Izumi feels unlike herself in a yellow dress with her hair up. She just wants her father to like her.

Izumi examines her father’s office in Chapter 7. Mak enters just as she is observing a photo of him. They stare at one another awkwardly. Mak tells Izumi she looks like her mother. He admits to being nervous. Izumi laughs. They shake hands.
