Summary

In Chapter I, Arrival, Kira woke to find her room covered with beautiful creations from the Soft Blade. Not only could she see the beauty, but she could also feel the fibers as if they were "extensions of her body" (634). Kira exited her cabin to meet with Falconi and Itari to send a message to the Knot of Minds now that they were within broadcast distance.

Almost twenty-four hours later, they received a response from the Knot of minds, and Tschetter proposed a meeting location so the groups could talk face-to-face. Tschetter explained that if the Wallfish did not show, the Knot of Minds would then assume she is no longer willing to cooperate. Falconi rerouted the ship to the new coordinates near Cordova-Fourteen-Twenty and entered back into FTL. Kira and Falconi stayed awake while they let the others stay...
