Summary
Chapter 10: In early February, as Jenkins and Weston biked through Panama, Jenkins saw online news stories about a man named Harry Devert. Devert was American and was the same age as Jenkins. Devert used to be a stock trader, but he had left his job a few years prior in order to travel the world. Devert’s outlook/disposition was extremely positive in general. However, in late January of 2014, Devert went missing in Mexico. In Chapter 11, as Jenkins and Weston passed through Panama City, Jenkins was shocked to see how big and prominent the cocaine industry was there. Jenkins and Weston reached the Panama Canal. Jenkins paid for both of their tickets on a boat ride across.
