Summary
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before tells the story of Lara Jean Covey, a Korean-American teenage girl, whose secret love letters addressed to all of her former crushes are mysteriously mailed out. In the prologue, Lara Jean explains that she writes the letters to the boys she has loved so that she can move on from her feelings for them, never intending to send them.
In Chapter 1, Lara Jean is hanging out with her nine-year-old sister Kitty, her older sister Margot, and Margot’s long-term boyfriend Josh. Later, Margot tells Lara Jean that she has broken up with Josh because she is about to leave to go to college in Scotland.
