Summary
In “Transcend,” Torn and Distraught is unsure if he should relocate to his wife’s hometown with her and their baby. He has a good job in California. However, he fears being away from his daughter. His wife, a heroin addict, has recently relapsed.
Sugar tells Torn and Distraught about an exercise she gives in her “memoir writing” class (313). She tells Torn and Distraught he needs to focus on the meaning of his story, which is his child.
In “A Shimmering Slice of Your Mysterious Destiny,” Aggressive is unsure how she can survive her wedding preparations.
