Chapter 35 Summary

Tarr holds the Paris contact at gunpoint saying he needed him to operate the coding machine. Steve sends the message for Tarr who says they have to wait for the response. Tarr is worried about the Russians trying to kill him. Steve tells him to worry more about the British than the Russians. Steve tells the clerk he has some communications to send but he will do it himself. In London, Mendel is using binoculars to study Circus headquarters. Mendel reports the comings and goings to Smiley. Two men carrying what looked like an ammunition box go in the building. A shuttle arrives with documents, just as Guilliam had told him it would. Alleline arrives at eleven. Tinker had arrived. A few minutes later, Tailor and Soldier arrive. Roy Bland then arrives.
