Chapter 34 Summary

Guilliam is at a safe house waiting for Toby Esterhase to arrive. George Smiley arrives and presents the scenario to Toby. Smiley tells Esterhase all the information he has figured out about the Witchcraft operation. Esterhase is nervous and says he does not want to listen. Smiley tells Esterhase Smiley has to report the information to Lacon and the Minister. They also want to know about the treatment of Westerby and Prideaux. Smiley says he only wants to know from whom the orders came and how did Esterhase know about Tinker and Tailor. Estrhase says Polyakov is their man. Smiley want to know who Polyakov's agent inside the Circus is and Esterhase tells him to go to the big guys. Smiley says he thinks the other three give Esterhase the material and he delivers it.
