Chapter 6 Summary

Tarr talks with Irina, who is supposedly a textile delegate, and she complains about Boris and his treatemnt of her. Tarr cancels his plans to leave the country. After a few days, Irina tells Tarr she is in love with him and confesses that she and Boris are both from Moscow Centre, she as a courier, he as a agent. Instead of doing his job, Boris was just meeting other women in bars. rina tells Tarr her story and her real name and the code and cover names she has used. She tells him of assignments she has had and shows him the tools she carries in her purse such as a signal pen and a hidden camera.
