Summary
In Chapter 14, G.G. visited Demby at the museum where he worked. During their meeting, Demby revealed that he was the orchestrator of the reenactments.
In Chapter 15, while Demby took a phone call, G.G. recalled their “final years of high school,” remembering that Demby had always been interested in art and theater (195).
In Chapter 16, G.G. and Demby took a walk. Demby shared more about the reenactments, and his work to preserve the integrity of each historical event. While in the National Palace of Culture, they watched several performers practicing.
In Chapter 17, G.G. and Demby had lunch. Demby told G.G. about his side project, hiring out mothers and fathers to lonely people whose parents lived abroad. After lunch, G.G. walked around feeling “terribly lonely” (203).
