Chapters 27-28 Summary

Agents Lamme and Slorter are still following Thursday, the agents following them had died of carbon monoxide poisoning. It is three days to the end of the world. She thinks of Landen and talks to him for a while, telling him of her work. He doesn't want her to risk her safety or the baby's and says he is happy existing in her memories.

Landen reviews the coincidences and the attempts on her life with her, looking for a common denominator. They find a woman wearing red shoes at all three incidences. She also seems to be the woman the dead agents were following. Thursday thinks that she may be the sister of Acheron Hades. The she awakens from her dream.
