Point of View
"Thursday Next" is told almost completely in the first person from the point of view of the heroine Thursday Next. All the descriptions of BookWorld come from Thursday's internal dialogue. At the beginning of each chapter, Thursday explains a different aspect of BookWorld or of the technology being talked about in the story. There are glitches in this point of view. When Thursday1-4 takes over Thursday's identity, the reader is inside Thursday1-4's head.. There are also some discrepancies in Thursday's memory. A memory worm planted by Thursday's enemy Aornis, makes Thursday believes she has a third daughter. This is explained to Thursday towards the end of the book by her husband Landen. But, because of the memory worm, Thursday immediately goes back to thinking that she has a third daughter. The reader has more information that the narrator in that instance.
