Chapter 9-12 Summary and Analysis
Before returning to the Great Library, Thursday takes Thursday5 to the core of the book. They run into a stray riddle, which is being kept in the background of Pinocchio's kitchen. The riddle is run like a game show, in which there are two doors, guarded by soldiers. On soldier always tells the truth and the other one always tell a lie. Behind one door is what Thursday wants, behind the other a hungry tiger. Thursday outsmarts the riddler and they continue down into the basement where a spark burns. When the book is being read the spark spits and jumps like fireworks.
Thursday reports to Bradshaw on the Goliath probe. Her probe is the only evidence they have, though there have been sightings and rumors of Goliath's incursion on the BookWorld for the last few months. The Goliath...
