Point of View

The novel is written in the third person omniscient point of view. The novel does not have one narrating character, but many. The author has chosen to tell the story through the eyes of multiple characters in order to allow the reader to see events and actions that are important to the overall plot of the novel, even things that take place out of the knowledge of the main character, Nora Kelly. A new chapter begins each time they make a switch between narrating characters which helps lower any chance of confusion on the part of the reader. Each character through which the writers narrate share all thoughts and emotions with the reader, even if the chapter is only a few pages long.
