Summary
In the early days of the restaurant, Sloane remembers how Richard continued choosing various men for Sloane to have sex with although she preferred when the other person was a woman. Sloane thinks about how she felt after reading the Fifty Shades trilogy and how they normalized her lifestyle and made her feel like less of an anomaly. When Sloane met an attractive coupe in Sag Harbor, she joined them in their hotel room. However, her phone died and she was unable to communicate with Richard, his requirement for her when she saw other people. He was upset with her and told her that she made him feel uninvolved.
