Chapter 7 Summary

Stephanie, Lula, and Jackie meet up at a local restaurant. Stephanie insists that they call the police, but both Lula and Jackie do not trust cops. Instead, Lula makes Jackie promise to go into drug rehab. The next morning, Morelli knocks on Stephanie's door. Morelli wants to know what she knows about the dead body of Jackie's boyfriend. Stephanie denies knowing anything about the body, despite the fact that Morelli has witnesses who saw Stephanie, Lula, and Jackie near the body moments before the police arrived. However, Stephanie promises that Jackie is going into rehab. Stephanie goes in to the office and finds Lula there with Jackie. Stephanie has Lula drive her to the Nissan place to pick up her truck before she takes Jackie to rehab.
