Antonio

Antonio is the main character of the novel. He is a young teenager when the novel opens, and his life is drastically changed when he has a seizure at a friend's house. He has another seizure that lands him in the hospital where he is diagnosed with epilepsy. Then, his parents take him to Marseilles for a second opinion from a specialist. Antonio has become an angry young man by that time, partly because his life is so changed but also because of his beliefs about his parents' separation and natural teenage angst.
