Manhattan

The majority of Three-Martini Lunch takes place in Manhattan. New York City is characterized as a place of possibility and cosmopolitan inclusivity. It is where the American Dream is achievable. However, it is also revealed as a place of hypocrisy and heightened prejudice, demonstrated through the experiences of Eden and Miles.

Harlem

This neighborhood in the north of New York is demographically known as an African American center. Miles lives in Harlem and several of the other characters visit it briefly to experience the jazz clubs it was known for.
