Summary
In Chapter 46, Lupe prepares to be interviewed by a television reporter. Though Hank promises her real name will not be used and her face will be blurred out to protect her identity, Lupe is nervous. Mia encourages her to do this for Jose. Hank tells Mia he has a lot of fears – including that police will accuse him of something. He always wears khaki pants so that he looks more professional. He says he works to ensure that fear does not control him. Lupe agrees because she trusts Hank to take care of her.
In Chapter 47, Lupe's interview airs on Halloween. Her face is blurred, as promised. She describes how hard Jose works to make a better life for them, and says she just wants her family back together.
