Chapter 25: Goodbyes

Kiera is allowed to leave the hospital the next morning. Jenny comes in and Denny arrives not too long afterward. Two hours later, she is in her new apartment. Her heart clenches when she notices the chair from Kellan’s, knowing it was the only comfortable piece of furniture he had. A new routine emerges in the next week. Jenny comes often with Kate, and Griffin often comes home with Anna after work. Denny stops by every night as well, and Kiera tries not to bring up subjects that are upsetting such as Kellan, their fight, or their relationship.
