Chapter 22: Choices

When Kiera goes downstairs, Kellan tells her that what they did the night before can’t happen again. He wants her to leave Denny and be his, out in the open for everyone to see. Before he leaves to go to Evan’s, he tells her to think about the decision she needs to make. Then, she lies down on the couch and sobs until she is asleep.

When she wakes, Denny comes in looking beaten and tortured. He asks her if he did something wrong, telling her that he feels a wall between them. He asks her if Kellan’s lifestyle is so disturbing to her that she doesn’t want to have him as a roommate anymore. Kiera says that she hardly sees him, so it is fine. He asks if it is him then.
